The theft occurred early the morning of October 8, 2011 at Grand Prairie Municipal Airport. The police are investigating the incident. My hangar was among 18 others where locks were cut and items stolen.
I cannot imagine why they would take the kart. It was inside the trailer which was inside the hangar. They did dig around in the trailer to find the starter but they did not take anything but the kart and starter from the trailer. From that I can only guess that they really did not know what it was and only thought they were getting something they could just drive on the street. As soon as they find out that it will not work on the street or parking lot they will probably just dump it.
